Up-and-coming Scottish acts to play Loopallu 2011
Kassidy is a Scottish act looking to be going places, and have recently been added to the line-up to play at this year's Loopallu Festival in Ullapool. Kassidy has already been playing up and down the country to promote their debut album 'Hope Street' and will welcome the opportunity to play at another well-known event. Rachel Sermanni is another young act looking to break through to the big time before long and this opportunity will also be great for her career. The singer-songwriter hails from Carrbridge and is expected to be in line for big things. The headliners at this year's festival are popular band The feeling, punk rockers Buzzcocks and the front man of The Fratellis, John Fratelli. Loopallu is one of the cheaper festival events with weekend tickets only costing £60. For an additional £15 attendees have the option of camping for the weekend also.
The price of camping only includes a tent however, and visitors wishing to stay in a camper van or caravan will have to pay an additional £25 per vehicle. On the bright side, children under 12 accompanied by an adult can attend the festival for free; the same as last year. Loopallu has become known as one of the more family friendly festivals over the years and hopefully free tickets for children will continue this trend.
